Dianne is a warm, compassionate, experienced therapist who has worked in the field of counselling since 2005. She has extensive experience working with young people and is now expanding her practice to include adults. She has a deep belief that the experiences human beings go through have an impact on their mental health and that once the difficult experiences are processed they no longer have the same impact on their life.
Dianne became an EMDR Practitioner in 2020 and is excited to be offering this evidenced based therapy to her clients. Her commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning is evident in the numerous advanced trainings she has completed including: Crisis and Trauma Counselling, Counselling Couples and Families, Positive Psychology, Resiliency Training, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Training, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Certification, Self- Regulation, The Flash Technique, Treating Sexualized Behaviour in Youth, Violent Threat Risk Assessment Trainings, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. She has also attended every Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference since 2009 where psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists from around the world meet to learn about current research and innovative new approaches in the field of psychotherapy.
The knowledge base and experience she developed in her work as a Registered Nurse provides Dianne with a unique perspective and deeper understanding of human condition. Whether working with individuals facing a serious health crisis, supporting young people in the Sexual Health Clinic, or caring for families whose children are in the NICU / Pediatrics unit, Dianne supports individuals and families with dignity, compassion, and care.
As a high school teacher and school counsellor for all grades, she developed an easy rapport with young people and created a safe space for youth to explore their fears, worries, experiences, hopes, and dreams.
She looks forward to learning how she can support you in your journey to wellness!

Dianne has been married since 1993 together with her husband they have four children. She know first hand the incredible blessings and challenges associated with parenting. When her oldest daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, she became very aware of the limited resources available for patients and families facing life threatening events and wants to support other parents whether they are concerned about their child's mental health or physical health. Parenting is hard. And it is wonderful.
She also a "dog mom" to Lyla and Louie who are very spoiled and bring laughter, joy and lots of snuggles to their home.
